1. what is think one team™ ?
think one team™ is a powerful and engaging book and development framework that assists organisations across private enterprise and government to create a one team culture through teamwork across boundaries. It is tailored to suit each client's special needs and comprises of the book, implementation process (workshops, coaching, projects), and supporting resources / tools.
- The think one team™ Book is a fresh approach to tackling those destructive silos. Using a humorous, insightful and compelling fictional story, it relates the journey of the people of the O'Donnells' Jelly Bean Company as they overcome classic 'anti-teamwork' behaviors. Interwoven with the absorbing storyline are practical strategies, ideas and models to inspire you and your organisation to embrace the five practices of think one team™.
- Drawing on the strengths and lessons from the book, the think one team™ framework is offered through workshops and implementation coaching. The think one team™ model is brought to life by providing practical tools and skills as well as the chance to discuss and embrace your vision of one team.
- As a vital complement to both the book and the implementation, there is an ever-growing range of think one team™ resources. These range from practical and functional items such as the online think one team™ partnering scorecards and problem solver desktop pads, to the eye-catching and motivational posters and of course, the tasty jelly bean packets. You can browse some of this range on our Resources Page.
Also available is a simple yet powerful free questionnaire to measure your perception of the teamwork across boundaries in your business.

The answer sits on the first page of the book. It says: 'Imagine the possibilities when everyone in your organisation thinks and acts as one big team'. Whether that means building better teamwork between key business functions, strengthening a strategic alliance or unlocking the power of true organisational teamwork right across the organisation, there is always a place for think one team™.

4. how is a think one team™ program rolled out?
An Implementation Team within the business leads and coordinates the actions that arise from the program. This Team works with our Facilitator / Coach to plan the total roll-out. The roll-out will typically include the following stages:
- Overall Program Planning to define the objectives, scope and timelines
- Administration of the think one team™profile to gain a clear measure of how people see the one team and silo practices in this organisation
- Distribution of the book to participants in advance of their first workshop. Workshops can be a choice of:
united leadership™ – a program for Senior Leadership Teams to equip them to model and lead a one team business.
think one team™ program – a program for Managers and their Teams to learn and apply think one team™ models and tools to strengthening teamwork across boundaries.
think one team™ workout– a one or two-day workshop that brings people together to use the think one team™ tools for tackling a specific business problem / opportunity. - Reinforcement via materials (templates, tools, posters, reminders), on-the-job projects and facilitated meetings / workshops to review progress.
- Re-administration of the think one team™ profile to measure progress.
5. which aspect of think one team™ is right for our organisation?
The thorough and modular design of the think one team™ framework means that we can totally customize an approach to suit your organisations' requirements. A key part of think one team™ is giving ownership of the process to an in-house Implementation Team who take the program much deeper and further into your organisation than any group of external consultants could ever hope for. To arrange a discussion with one of our accredited Facilitator / Coaches, please contact us.
6. which staff should participate in the think one team™ program?
Everyone in the organisation can particpate in some way. These front line staff can read the book (and will read it because it is actually fun to read!), and then be involved in bringing the five practices to life.
